IELTS Writing Task 2

Important Note: This course may not be very beneficial for language learners at intermediate levels or below..

Who is this course suitable for?

• IELTS candidates with an upper-intermediate language proficiency or higher.
• IELTS candidates looking to boost their writing scores.

Who is this course not recommended for?

• Individuals with a language level lower than a true Upper-Intermediate.
• Those who intend to learn the basic principles of writing (sentence, paragraph, and essay writing) from scratch.

Prerequisites:

Applicants must meet at least one of the following criteria:

• Achieve a score of 6 in the writing section of the IELTS exam (official or mock).
• Obtain a score of 21 in the writing section of the TOEFL exam.
• Secure a score of 51 in the writing section of the PTE exam.
• Possess an Upper-Intermediate language level.

If you’re uncertain about your language proficiency, please request an assessment session prior to registering. Please note that once the course commences, refunds are not available.

During each session, we will analyze a specific prompt using critical thinking principles and focus on a sample essay. In class, the emphasis will be on the TR and CC criteria, while submitted assignments will concentrate on the LR and GRA criteria.

Every Monday, participants will receive a homework task that must be submitted by the end of Tuesday of that week (by midnight Wednesday). Feedback and corrections on the assignments will be provided in the last three days of the week. All participants will take the end-of-term exam (mock test) on the final Wednesday of the term at 4:00 PM, and the test will last for 3 hours.

The only resources required to participate in this course are the Cambridge IELTS books and a notebook.

After completing the course, you should be able to:
